It’s hard to be a writer

It’s hard to be a writer
In this fast-forward world
Where words change meaning with the speed of lightning.

A popular saying today is tomorrow a cliche
Have lost meaning and value
In its place thousands many mushroomed – words suitable enough to depict the order of the day to take its meaning.

A word spelt the way you know today is tomorrow spelt the other way round
To meet the jargon of the day;
you have got no market
Your piece sounds archaic.

You cannot write about tomorrow
A day you are not certain you will live to see.
You can only about today
A time fastly fading into the future-
Another day another life
Today a history.
